For Workshop 2 which focuses on Academic Reading, topics include:
- understand speed reading strategies.
- practise reading long texts, ranging from descriptive to factual, and discursive to analytical.
- learn skills and practice timed IELTS test question types:
- multiple choice questions
- short answer questions
- identifying: information, writers’ views/claims
- matching: information, headings, features, sentence endings
- completing: sentences, summaries, notes, tables, flowcharts and diagrams
- obtain feedback.
