For Workshop 3 which focuses on Academic Writing, topics include:
- learn useful writing strategies.
- understand the performance criteria and their fulfilment: task achievement/response, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource and grammatical range and accuracy.
- practise the skills for accurate description and summarisation of visual information from given charts, tables, graphs or diagrams, and acquire the skills for accurate description of facts and figures or a process.
- learn skills for writing discursive essays in response to an opinion, problem or issue: providing a solution, evaluating a problem, challenging a point of view or contrasting two opposing ideas.
- take part in timed mock test and obtain assessor’s feedback.
